HaHa... I thought it was the breech at the bottom and the rusted away barrells (sawn off of course) at the top..

That's what I like to see, a guy demolishing work with a sledge hammer in his carpet slippers, or cycle shoes. That's almost as bad as me in me crocs.

Aside from that, I failed to notice until I read through all the posts, that you can clic and view things which are not on screen. That means I must go back and start again.

It really is rewarding when you have the foresight to photo everything before you start. Just wait until you have created a garden.

Wow, you've done a really fab job.

Hope you don't mind me asking but how did you remove the tree stump? We have a large one needing removing and I wondered what tips you could give me. ;)

    Thanks All

StMidwife - it took a lot of hard work and persistence and we have moved two HUGE stumps and two normal sized ones.

Basically, we dug approx 1.5 foot circumference around the stump itself and dug down about 2-3 foot deep. We then rocked the stump back and forth to release the large roots and sawed through the larger roots. With every few minutes of rocking the stump back and forth, it got looser and looser and eventually we were able to pull it out completely.

Whilst this has worked for us, I don't profess to being an expert whatsoever and I don't know whether this is the correct way to do it or not :)
