Lib DemsYou'd be better trying to promote the financially libertarian element of the Lib Dems
You'd need to bash them on the head with a sledghammer to get most of the populace to realise we actually have a third party !!!!!!!!!
I'm sure if many took the time to read and understand the Lib Dem policies, then they would get far more 'real' votes, rather than just the many thousand 'blocking' votes they often achieve'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
ConservativesI just thought of him off the top of my head.
You're right about the taxes, but that applied to all lib-dems at the time.
You not convincing me that my Libertarian Wing of the Lib Dems is dead argument is wrong here dolcevita.
My view is that a libertarian is liberal on both social and economic issues. It's not enough to want to legalise pot or something, you have to shut the NHS and state education (in their current forms at least).0 -
ConservativesHe's not what I'd call a libertarian. He wanted to raise taxes for a start.
Seemed like quite a decent sort though.
Unless you were his wife, of course....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
