I got up this morning all geared up to sort the conservatory out - I need to empty everything out to clean it, then put everything away properly. I went in there with the keys to open the doors and it's raining.
Had thought we'd take the kids out on their bikes and that as well but not in the rain.
I had a new printer yesterday so I can now print again - I couldn't connect my old printer to my new PC so I've been without a printer since then!
Hope everyone has a good day today

Morning all
Well, it looks like typical south coast bank holiday weather here - grey and overcast with the promise of rain. Not quite sure what I'll do with my day but I have options:- Do end of year PAYE stuff for Hector the Inspector
- Charge up camera battery
- Go out with dog and camera and photograph the bird boxes Parks put up in the week in the park (I have a map!) which we got a grant for.
- Do bird box evaluation form thing.
- Ironing
- Ebaying
- Sort out family history stuff for holiday
- Muck out car
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Morning everyone, it's raining here so no garden yet for the kids.
Cuppa, changed and get everyone to sunday school. DS2 did well yesterday on the potty but took it everywhere with him:rotfl: , he even got up this morning and the first thing he did was get the potty.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Tia - well done on getting into college
AnW - hope the night wasn't too cold. We have had rain most of the night so hope it was much better for you.
Nicki - hope you are feeling better today
PP - well done on the win - covers the hair-cut.
To everyone with OH and children issues - hope they behave themselves and you have a wonderful family day!
As raining so no gardening (devastated!), will try to bake some bread by hand - first time since teens (a long long time ago), wish me luck.Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli
Thank you to all who post competitions & help the smooth running of the comps board0 -
Morning all. Thanks for all the Birthday wishes yesterday. OH took me and the twins out for a curry. I was a good girl and didn't have a drinky til I got home, so feel pretty chipper today.
There were some young lasses in the restaurant loo (in their mirco, micro minis!!) who were decidedly the worse for wear. I saw them staggering about outside later trying to hail a taxi. It made me think, actually it's not so bad to be getting older and a bit wiser.
Rain holding off here for now, so my first line of washing is out.
I need to get some baking done today (to take into work on Tuesday for birthday treat).
So any real winning recipes would be much appreciated.
Bathroom also needs a good blitz as does the oven.
Anyone else sick of sweeping/vacuuming up grass since mowing their lawns?
Our lawn is only about the size of a cucumber sandwich, but I swear my DSs have managed to transport half of it inside over the last few days.Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -
Morning all
Grey but warm here - rain forcast for tomorrow so all outside jobs planned for today including plant survey up at the local woods which I shall be expecting the entire family to participate in!
Kaz - well done on the meal plan - I never get more than 3 days ahead but you have inspired me.
AnW'sMum did you stay out all night?
Soappie loving the name Hector the Inspector
Embb are you still in bed?:rotfl:
Mudbath - hope you and hubbie had a great evening.
Thanks for your votes on the Mahonia - it shall be going - after Wednesday when my wheelie bin is emptied. The branches burn well if left for a year so can go on the log pile.
Nice and quiet here as they are all at cricket practice so off to the shower and then out in the garden for me.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning everyone.
C'mon. 12 more posts to make the page normal!
Well, busy morning so far here. Up at 7am.
DH made poached egg on toast for breakie, and washed up.
WM has gone overload - 1 x DH's work stuff
1 x bedding, and now 1x towels. I will keep it all nice for coming home to.
The clothes are on the line even though it is really cloudy.
DH played in the garden with DS for a bit.
Bibs washed yesterday just rescued from TD and put away.
Kitchen bin has been emptied and cleaned.
DH has just taken DS out to Dunelm mill to get blackout lining for the
curtains in our room, and a proper cot duvet for DS.
I said i will tackle the ironing while they are out, so i guess i should go do that. Can't be bothered.
Will need to make up the beds again in about an hour when the sheets come out the TD. New pillows to go on the beds - what luxury.:j
I guess we may visit my parents today, or may just chill out some more at home. Will see what the mood is like and how shattered we are.
I am again glad there are 2 bank hols in May as i am sure we will need the next one once the baby is here to sleep.0 -

I'm on a normal page too now. Thank goodness.
I am so glad I decided not to do a carboot. I woke up at 630 (don't know why!!) and it was lovely weather and that's when we'd have set of for the carboot. About two hours later (after we'd have set up) the heavens opened and we had a massive thunderstorm. It's been pouring down ever since so I think we'd have made about 3 pence!
So, i'm glad I gave everything to charity apart from reebok step I found in the attic. I've never bought a reebok step so i've no idea where that came from. Think i'll sell that through a postcard in our local shop along with a hedge trimmer and garden shredder and a couple of other big things.
DH is putting a floor in the attic today. I had a dream last night that there were wasps up there and they swarmed and went for him  . I have told him that if it happens he should get in the shower. He now thinks i'm mad :rotfl: xx0
