Hi Mumoftwo :hello: I was just wondering where you was yesterday.
I have the same trouble as you. I'm great at flying if I do it all day, don't meet friends, don't visit garden centre, don't garden, etc but then what is the point?
The only thing that keeps me going is I hate it when the whole ship goes under so I just keep bailing out one room at a time. I keep popping into whichever room looks good that day and trying to enjoy it. I get worse as the weather gets better. I do find it quicker to do most rooms now some of the decluttering has happened but there is always more to do.
Right to the ironing for me. Sorted the ski stuff into a bag. I will need to get a jacket for DS3 - his coat is too small and the other one (that was bigger) never turned up after disappearing at half term. I guess with our british summer he needs a coat all year long anyhow. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Changing rads is REALLY simple.. You need to empty them first.. upstairs ones are easy.. just drain the top of the system!!
Or.. you can turn the one off at the valve.. then undo 1 nut at the bottom which holds it on and lift it off the pipe.. you'll need loads of buckets to catch the water as it pours out of the radiator!! .. when it is empty undo the other nut and lift it off the brackets and replace with the new one.. make sure the nuts are tight.. open the valve and it should fill with water.. it MAY cause an airlock in the system if you don't have the valve open at the top .. the one you turn to 'bleed' the air out... close this back up when water starts coming out.. simple!
that sounds complex.. it isn't at all!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I did the dishes
Pushed a cloth about the work tops
Took the rubbish and recycling out
Sprayed stuff in the oven
Danced a bit to emenemenem (mainly to see how much I jiggled)
Tidied where I had dumped my make up case and nail case
Tidied top of the microwave
Decided I had no gloves and I did only have my nails done on Friday!
Also Daniel said he had a headache
And changing rads is easy. We managed it!So long as you don't have to move any pipework. However, we got a plumber to do the one that did need pipework moving and he flooded my bathroom and hall. He also swore at DS1... Bathroom Solutions in Ayr SUCK!

pigpen thanks for that we need to change approx 10 rad not all straight away but hoping to save on costs and do it ourselves.
I am failing miserably with photos someone did post a few weeks ago re how to do it, I think they were using another site to make them smaller and then onto here??? If it is easy could someone let me know if technical dont bother PC skills not up to much!!0 -
Tia.. Daniel will forget about his headache as the heat rises.. go tell him you can't clean the oven until tomorrow so are starting with a knob!.. and have a dog biscuit for making an early start!!
;);)

Jjef, if changing 10, I would do them all at the one time. That way you can empty the system out completely, switch them over and then get the stuff to flush it out and re fill it. Buy them one at a time and do it during the summer when you wouldn't need them on anyway.
Pigpen, I will tell him. First I will hunt some gloves, find my piny, polish a knob and poke my oven0
