Not had chance to catch up on thread fully yet - except for the picture of that gorgeous new baby Sarah - she is absolutely beautiful. (sorry, can you tell I'm getting broody)

Anyway - chatting to my friend at toddlers today and talking about grocery shopping and cutting down costs and what to cook that's quick and easy. So I said - have you got a slow cooker - there's lots you can make in that. She said, and I quote, "Whats a slow cooker?" OMG! Well, I am lending her my slow cooker with the original instructions and have emailed her the link to all the slow cooker recipes. The next thing is the freezer - she hasn't got one - with 2 kids I don't know how she's managed!

OK - off to feed the kids and do HHC at the same time - anyone joining in? Kitchen - here I come!

    ok it gets worse....

DS1 (14) comes in 'I have a problem with my bag'
    'what is the problem'
'I think somebody spilt some vinegar in it before I went to school'
'I think that is unlikely, take it in the garden and empty it and I will see'

In the bottom of the bag are a rotten banana and orange, smelling of vinegar as they decompose:mad:

Books etc all have a 1cm stench on them. These are the GCSE books he will need to revise from next year. I have just cut 1cm off the bottom of them all.

Not surprisingly I am not getting very far with the kitchen. I have a beavers run and cricket run to do yet!

Yeah to Pigpen, LikkleGibbon and Raphael on the weight loss. I will get off my backside and go for a run tonight - maybe not as my heel has cracked again.......

So far I have advised a client on how to best ruin some innocent peoples [STRIKE]day, week,[/STRIKE] month. Sometimes I really dislike my job/business.

I have cleaned and henryed the top floor. Pigpen, you are right about Henrys - DH bought one for post building clear ups and I now prefer it to my Dyson. All white bedding washed and ready to go back on. Lots of washing done. Level 1 on the kitchen. Just trying to make myself dyson the ground floor as the dog is still moulting. Neutered kitten collected from vets. Back for post op check Friday - mustn't forget. Ironing to do tonight.

I need to have a serious re-think on the household front. Spending far too much, going through a can't cook stage when everything I make is awful, and with us both working from home part of the time the house is slowly filling back up with junk. Hard to motivate myself to tidy up when I could be doing chargeable if depressing work. Garden is looking good though.....:p

Dusty, DS1 leaved tangerines in his jacket pockets and bashes them into goo...

Feeling a bit fed up... drove all teh way to the hospital with the kids.... sat for ages... then was asked for my letter. Appointment is tomorrow. I was like 'yeah... Tuesday, today's Tuesday...' They gave me a look of sympathy and gently led me to the door with a cheery but sympathetic 'see you tomorrow'.

    Oh tia - hugs!

DS2 was upset yesterday because he thought it was Saturday, and he had another day before school (he's been on a school trip, which is why he lost track).

mudbath - there are several families with school children in our close, which resounds every morning to the gentle sounds of mummies kindly reminding their children that 'We have to leave NOW!!!' I have once driven off without DD, who was shocked - though not as much as she was when I took her in late, and she got into a huge amount of trouble at school - before you all ring Social Services, OH was still at home, and she was 14!

I have spent four lovely hours gardening today and getting paid for it. One of those days when it's really fun, unlike all the days pulling out nettles and ivy in the freezing cold and rain. Teaching is better paid, but the plants don't answer back.

I haven't done any flying yet, but I may just waft a duster about the kitchen while I'm cooking dinner. Which will have to be soon, as the children say they're in danger of fading clear away from starvation.

:rotfl:all of you make me feel so much better....i'm not the only insane one with children from hell:rotfl: . tia - i turned up for physio an hour early. luckily they could fit me in!

the chores chart has gone down well. i told them if they did their 5 mins reading, 5 mins spelling and 5 mins maths (which normally takes an hour an and a half) in 20 mins then they could have a treat (scones i made today). they did it!!!

bags are ready for the morning...two chores done each (emptying bins and doing recycling)...15 minutes tidying bed rooms. they'd done everything by 4.30pm so they got to help make tea which they love. i'm sure it won't be this easy every night but it's a start.

they always love charts but i normally stop doing them after a few weeks. i must keep these up.

on the flying front...i've tidied a few bits up :rotfl: xx
