I have just checked that 2-3 of my office mates are also going and planning to stay in Lisbon so I guess for the moment I plan to stay in center of Lisbon and we can share a car pool to work also that way. Might put up at Ibis lisboa jose malhoa.

I stayed in the Ibis Jose Malhoa in the past. I thnink now there is a new shopping mall very close. When I was there it was mostly hotels and offices, so not really alot to do during the day. I belive there is a metro station within a walking distance. Not sure it is very safe at night... There is a newer (and more expensive) Ibis near Avenida da Liberdade (Ibis Liberdade) and that is a really nice location.

But if you colleagues are staying in Jose Malhoa, that is surely the safest bet. You can take a taxi at night if you want to eat/ drink out.

I tried the Liberdade one, but it has no available rooms for the dates I am looking for.

Hope this Malhoa one turns out good. Lets see..........I guess the taxis are a lot cheaper than here in UK........thankks again
