Seller evading fees and states UK instead of HK.

Had a bee in my bonnet about a seller. Their name is 'UREXTRAS' take a look. They have over 400 listings at 1p buy it now plus hundreds more at 10p and 99p.
Additionally all their listings say the items are in the UK. However take a look at their negative feedbacks. Seems clear the items are coming from Hong Kong and seller is registered in Hong Kong.
Anyway Ive been on a mission with eBay about them. Their response is that there is no evidence of fee evasion and selling items at 1p could be a loss leader to entice people to buy other items! They also say they cannot act on the location based on feedback comments alone. 2 weeks ago I pointed out that they didnt have their address anywhere on eBay which they are now required to display as a business seller. So the seller then added an About Me page and now show a London 'warehouse' address. Only thing is that address is a Mail Box shop in Notting Hill. Clearly not their business address. I pointed this out to eBay (a quick google search brings up the Mail Box shop) and their response was 'we cant be expected to check the addresses given' and until buyers contact them directly to complain there is nothing they can do.
Ebay are uninterested and say they can only do so much to enforce their rules. Not only are they evading fees by selling items for 1p and therefore making their profit in their postage but they are clearly deceiving people by stating their items are in the UK when they are not. Given Ive made eBay aware are they aiding and abbetting by knowingly allowing this to continue?
I know that this is just one of thousands of dodgy sellers on eBay however they are impacting on hundreds of buyers per month. Some of those may be put off using eBay because of a negative experience such as this. eBay are clearly not interested in policing their site despite their constant reassurrances that they take such matters seriously.
Ok rant over.

I've always had good service from HK sellers.
A PO Box or corrispondace address is perfectly valid.
Do you sell the same sort of thing on ebay as the person you have a vendetta over?"Love you Dave Brooker! x"

They will have to watch it from next month although their DSR for postage is 4.6 so not too bad really. Also 12 negs in 3500 sales is a very small percentage. They have a London phone number on the about me page so might be worth giving it a call in case its false. These big sellers know how to manipulate the rules. Are the items posted from Hong Kong?
Sorry I've been looking at the wrong sellers stars/feedback they are pretty poor.0 -
Doesn't look like many of the items have large P&P charges so I'm not sure fee evasion is in evidence.
The DSR for dispatch time might cause the seller some problems going forward, but there again he/she is a power seller so I wouldn't expect too much to happen.0 -
The location misrepresentation is annoying (and something I'd report) but the postage fees don't seem all that steep TBH. They're undoubtedly making money on the postage... but not enough to worry ebay.
Maybe you should buy something if that gives you more right to complain in ebay's eyes
My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
some good bargains here, thanks for the link0

I sell on eBay but not the same type of items.
A PO box is not acceptable by eBay or under e-commerce regulations (which is the reason eBay introduced the requirement for business sellers to show an address). This is why eBay require a 'geographic address'. It is so you know where to go if you have a problem i.e. where you would sue them if issuing proceedings. This is why you cannot have a PO box.
No problem with buying from HK. Done so many times but they are not being honest about it-why lie? If the item needs to be returned then you would need to post it to HK and not the UK and it probably would not be worth returning it.
Yes their postage isnt that high but no one can make a profit selling for 1p so the postage fees are clearly set to include their profit on the item being sold therefore the item price is being deflated to avoid the final value fees. The link between fees and DSR ratings wont really affect them as their FVF will be very low anyway given their 1p prices.
Its not a vendetta against the seller, if anything its against eBay themselves. They have rules but dont enforce them. All Im looking for is a level playing field.0 -
eBay DO take location misrepresentation seriously - I had ALL my listings removed for it a while back before I found the option in TurboLister to set the items TRUE location.
I'm guessing this is a Power Seller? aka above the eBay law...Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -

I can see no reason why a PO box would not be acceptable.
