Help needed filling out ISA transfer form

The form is not laid out very well and doesn't say who fills in what, it gives the impression that it all has to be filled out by me. The line of investment/passbook comes underneath the heading 'customer authority to current cash ISA provider'
and under that line is an empty box for a signature which i thought was for me, but from what you are saying , all that is for Barclays.0 -

The 2008/9 A&L Transfer Form can be downloaded HERE, I don't see any requirement for any 'investment/passbook' mentioned and the form is laid out in quite simple steps.and under that line is an empty box for a signature which i thought was for me, but from what you are saying , all that is for Barclays.
I don't know how you drew that conclusion.0 -
There's no need to contact Barclays at all (unless you want to hear their 'expert' squirm).
That's exactly it. If he's wrong then I want him to say so
He could cause a lot of confusion and embarrassment with people going into branches of Barclays asking for this transfer certificate he's mentioned and staff knowing nothing about it, imagine the rumpus a stroppy customer could cause. There are enough unhappy ISA customers on this forum. Heaven knows, Barclays haven't found a workable coping strategy for the last two year's ISAs, you would have thought they'd have learned from last year and pulled their socks up.
Yes, definitely worth enquiring of this gentleman how we obtain our transfer certificates. I'll let you know what he says.0 -

Just an update on the "transfer certificate" the Barclays ISA expert told me would be needed as from 5th April this year.
He has now returned from his hols and OH spoke to him today. Apparently this transfer certificate applies to stocks and shares ISAs not cash ISAs.
He admitted he and his colleague "misunderstood" the information they were given.0
