Brighthouse PC (infinity) rubbish but drivers needed
Comments
-
Guys,
One more thing, I managed to install most of the drivers (thank you). But I still get a yellow question mark for multimedia audio controller, standard floppy controller and PCI simple communications controller.
Under device manager, the location of the floppy is: Intel 82801EB LPC interface controller. DOes that mean that I need to get the upgrade from Intel.
Also on Belarc there is no info for the multimedia audio controller and PCI simple communications controller.
The only thing I found was MPU-401 compatible midi device, is this it?
Any other suggestions as to how to get the make for the ones above?
Many thanksMember 7 of 100 to 10k - £100 to £10k = £1490 -
Yes, Scooter,

start, run, devmgmt.msc
find the yellow question marks, find the instance id under details, the first part after
PCI\VEN_ will give you the manufacturers id (e.g. Intel is 8086), which may point you in the right direction
http://www.pcidatabase.com/
or google the whole instance id (highlight it and control C to copy to clipboard), AC97 is quite commonEver get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
