Tesco mobile phone - airtime voucher mystery

Please can someone advise me? Back in November my Mum bought a cheap phone from Tesco, and it came with £10 airtime. The girl on the checkout scanned the airtime voucher so the £10 went straight on the phone for my Mum.
As it was such a good deal I went back a couple of days later and bought the same phone for myself. Because I didn't actually need the phone, it sat unopened until February. Then I discovered that the £10 voucher had not gone on, and I didn't have a voucher for the airtime. I was advised to go to the shop, who could check their system and get the number off the voucher, so I could get my £10 airtime added.
Well, after much to-ing and fro-ing I finally got in touch with the right person at the shop, but she is adamant that there was no £10 airtime offer. She has gone back to find both my receipt and my Mum's, and says there is no record of the voucher on either transaction. Because of this she won't give me the £10 airtime.
The thing is, the £10 went onto my Mum's phone so surely that proves that the offer did exist... so why isn't it on the system? Any ideas please? Is there anything I can do?

There definitely should have been an offer. The till should have printed two reciepts, one for the phone & one with a barcode on (This is the first bit of the airtime voucher). This should then have been scanned at the till, producing an ordinary top-up voucher which you need to ring up & apply to the account.
The offer has never gone directly onto the phone though. Your best bet is probably going to be writing to head office; There's too many places the offer could have been mislaid

Thanks Gollum. I'm sure I remember the voucher being just another till receipt, as you say. Obviously I've mislaid it somewhere and without the number they can't give me the credit. I do have the purchase receipt, but not the voucher receipt.
When I rang the Tesco mobile helpline, it was them who said I should go to the shop because they could get the number from their records - but the shop are now claiming there was no offer and they have no record of the airtime voucher being printed for either my phone or my Mum's.
Odd, because Mum definitely got the credit, so I don't know how they can say they didn't have the offer. The shop couldn't explain that. I guess I can try writing to head office but I don't feel very hopeful.0
