What receipts don't they accept? Do you print off the receipts and send/give them those or just refer them to your account? Have you any bank receipts that can prove that they have had the money?
I would visit your local Citizens Advice Bureau as they are good at negotiating with utility companies (who tend to listen more to organisations like CAB than their customers!). They will talk to them on your behalf, I would suggest soon if you think court action is imminent and you're not getting anywhere.Torgwen.....................

Cant you ask your bank for a statement or just print it off ?
Maybe you would be better switching to direct debit ?0 -
hi i also try to pay anglian water with online banking and have been having problems for about 3 years also.
they keep giving me account numbers that are incorrect.
today they told me that their computer thinks i pay on a book i pointed out i have never paid on a book and could they not change what their computer thinks, but she said they do not have online banking payments so no.
maybe i will see you in court as i also have a bundle of letters telling me thats where im going.

Hi what you may need to do is supply all details of payments, in writing, to Anglian Water you have made by online banking such as reference used/date/amount with your bank details as often these payments are not allocated to customer accounts as account references are incorrect - I work for another Water Co. and often find these sitting in our suspense account and have to arrange to allocate them to the correct account when a customer calls and says they have paid- so either pay by DD in future or make sure that reference is correct-should be on your bill. It saves a lot of hassle!0

I've paid bills to Anglian Water via online banking before and not encountered any problems. Have you entered your account number correctly in the reference box?"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"
