Not happy with O2 shop - help

Bought a Mobile from O2 using a link from here. First I had an e.mail saying thank you for your order etc. passed to our warehouse & delivery in 3 days, then another saying currently out of stock although we will make every effort to ensure that they will be delivered to you as soon as possible. They took the money out of my account straight away and having contacted them have now had e.mail saying: Your order has been cancelled as it was out of stock. Any money you have paid for your order will be refunded, however this process may take up to 21 working days. Not happy about this at all I thought they only take your money when the item is ready for dispatch. Why should they have my money for 3 weeks.
Could this be because the link was for O2 student saving £20.00. Andy

i think this might be happening to me aswell. i bought the moto v547 on saturday 3rd sept and got the same out of stock email. i can't understand the email they sent and now am not even sure if the phone is coming or not...so confused... can anyone shed some light on the situation please. i paid using a credit card and they probably have my money already.

good news for me just recieved an email saying my order has been dispatched...sometimes it works out ok.
