Well it must have been pulled awkwardly, if closed properly via the central handle, this cannot happen, that is assuming it was not bent beforehand of course.

Well my daughter is 10 (only just) so I can't see her damaging it by opening and closing it?

We paid about 3 years ago for someone to come out and replace the other side (to the one now which is bent) as that bent and warped. Daughter would have only been 6 then.

Could the window maybe be dodgy or have not been fitted right which has caused both sides in time, to bend?

It is possible that it may have been damaged slightly when the other one was replaced, they can be a bit fiddly to replace, especially upstairs windows due to access problems.

The window obviously has to be in the open position to fit them, this puts some stress on the remaining one while the damaged one is replaced.

Good luck.. I hope it all goes smoothly.;)
