Unsolicited firms offer phones at end of contract

A year or so ago I accepted a mobile from a mobile phone company who inferred they were from Orange. They weren't, and the phone wasn't too great either. They 'got' me a discount (which I could probably have sorted myself) and now they say they've 'got' me a much cheaper deal, on another network with another phone... I know they're working on commission - and maybe they are good deals - but I don't like being pestered like this.

My contract is coming to an end, and I've always been with Orange. What's the best thing to do, still keeping my mobile number? I have a broadband/landline/tv package with Virgin.
