Funny, a friend of mine with a decent credit rating also applied for one a few days ago online and was also instantly declined. Maybe they're not taking applications anymore?
It was strange because after pressing the submit button it came as a rejection virtually instantaneously so must have been based on some specific criteria given in the app.

I found that if you press the submit button and it thinks about it for about a minute then it does the search, make sure that you fill in the form exactly how they want you to, check the formatting of your DOB and phone numbers etc. Check Call Credit and if two searches by Raphels Bank dont appear then try again. Sorry to hear that it did not work for you.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. No, I think they have stopped taking applications, I maybe wrong but because of the amount of publicity via MSE they may have exceeded their quota.slightly_delayed wrote: »well i tried but i think the website is a bit jiggered, i get to the apply now page is currently unavailable through fire fox and explorer 7 any ideas just got rejected for capital 1
