A tenner, some change and a debit card!

TGFT. I was beginning to think there was something wrong with me ... ;)
    No purse. No wallet.
Just some notes, some change, and a single debit/ATM card.
(I have more :D, but with the LINK system, why do you need to carry them with you?)
Imprudent granting of credit is bound to prove just as ruinous to a bank as to any other merchant.

Very occasionally I find a card gets refused, so I carry a second as a backup. I can't see the point in carrying more than two though.

Thats what I mean - they won't replace NI cards if lost

Well, they will; but once, and only once, ever. Personally I think it's a bit unfair that way, because there's limitless scope to lose a small plastic card in a period of the better part of a century, but hey...
  • I carry, smile debit card, smile cc, all & leic debit card, egg cc, matalan card, boots advantage card, library card, tesco clubcard, driving licence, blockbuster card, argos voucher, airmiles card, shell points card.

The smile debit card, cc and all & leic card and egg cc will be paid off in about ten days. Egg will be cut up, smile will be cut up,the debit cards will be put away to be forgotten about. :D

A new flexaccount card will find its way into my purse when I have applied for the nationwide flex account (cash card only) yippee, in control of my money at last.

I pay in easily 800 quid a month O_O may have to ask about that.

Why would you want a cheque guarantee card? :p

Very few shops take cheques these days, I can safely say I've never guaranteed a cheque in my life :D

FWIW I always keep an up-to-date list of what cards I have in my wallet, along with the appropriate phone numbers to call if they are stolen.
