Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Out of interest, why are so many of you keeping your NI card in your wallet?

Is the implication that there are now plastic (credit card like) cards with NI number? Mines a tatty old cardboard one!

OK, I've actually emptied out my wallet and photoed it, because I'm a sad bastid.

Top: small pic of me and girlfriend in John Lewis wallet, and £24.05 in cash.

    Cards:

    HSBC Maestro
    Starbucks Prepay Card
    Boots Advantage Card
    HSBC Solo
    Liberal Democrats membership card
    Waterstones card
    HSBC MasterCard
    John Lewis Partnership discount card
    Blockbuster card

Don't usually carry around my (provisional) driver's license, too easy to lose... ;)

    I have:

    Natwest Debit Card
    Bite Card
    Zavvi Gift Card
    Waterstones Card
    Staples Reward Card
    Boots Advantage Card
    WH Smith Card
    Provisional Driving Licence
    Matalan Card
    Virgin Student Card
    HMV Student Card
    University ID
    NUS Extra Card
    Natwest Railcard
    Nectar Card
    Oyster Card

I wish I didn't have so many, I wouldn't have to if so many stores didn't make you have their own cards just to get student discount. I thought my NUS/Uni ID card would be enough but they all want their own card as well as that.

I've got the same HSBC Cards (Maestro and MasterCard) as yours! Mine doesn't have cheque guarantee facility as well. They say I need to pay in 800 quids a month to get it which is totally bs as all students from last year got the cheque guarantee card. Oh well!
