    I think that if the extras are useful to you then it is worth paying for the upgrade and yes you get the cooler card also!

    No I have an RBS Royalties Gold account for free I think I will stick with that.

    Also don't you get many of the benefits of Ultimate reward with Natwest black? I haven't researched a huge amount but I think there is some overlap so might be worth investigating so you don't end up paying out more than you are saving.

    well with natwest black you get better insurance, you get airport lounge access and you get concierge, that alone is worth the fee!
