you would of never guest you work for barclays :rotfl: .
Does the yorkshire bank maestro card look different if it has a Cheque guarantee other than the actually the £100 hologram.
  • In mine:

HSBC Plus Maestro card (for my main current account)
    HSBC Plus membership card
HSBC Solo card (for my food money account)
    HSBC MasterCard
    Barclaycard Initial
    McDonald's coffee loyalty card thing
    Bus ticket
    Boots Advantage card
    Provisional driver's licence

I too avoid cash, and will prefer places where I can use my cards (example: switched from Caffe Nero to getting McDonalds' coffee in the morning - the coffee's cheaper and quite good, the loyalty scheme is better and they take debit cards). Cash is just such a pain in the !!!! - if I could pay for my bus ticket and laundrette with something else I'd jump at the chance...

:D thanks times a million it is smart isn't it!!!!. Does that come with a cheque guarantee even if you don't pay £500 per month?

Not sure. I think you need a certain level of salary (not £500, think it's more) mandated to the account to be eligible for one, as well as a behavioural score over a certain level. Mine came with one, though - if yours doesn't, it'll have a hologram on the front below the Maestro symbol.
