ok quick update (for anyone interested). I had sent O2 an email on th 9th with the crux of problem and then emailed them again on the 14th to complain about not hearing anything from them and asking someone from the relevant department and they sent this reply.

"Thank you for contacting O2 Customer Service.

Your details were forwarded to the relevant department on 09 September 2005.
Your issue is currently being investigated.

They will contact you soon once the investigation is complete.

As we are an online company we are unable to call you back. To speak to an
advisor please call 08706 003 009. Our phone service is open between 8:00am to
9:00pm Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 8:00pm Saturday and Sunday and 8am to 6pm
Bank Holidays. Calls are charged at national rate.

As you do not have a landline number you can call us from a PCO.

If you need further information about this matter, please reply to this email.

They couldn't even call me back so now i'm supposed to call them back on an 0870 number and get charged for following up the complaint that they caused in the first place. will i be calling them on the 0870 number?

NO i say, i say noto0870 :money: (thank you Martin).

i'll be calling them today and i will be very very unhappy with the treatment i have recieved so far, i'm not rude to anyone cause i know they are call centre staff but my god i'll be taking names, numbers and they will be getting threats of legal action.

How come a telephone company can't make a telephone call? They can't call you but you can call them? So it's not as if they don't have any operators. Absolute rubbish.
