Visa Electron, what a crock of !!!!

    I had a similar problem when I first tried to make a payment online for my 0% bal transfer to virgin. After submitting the payment it went to a white screen. I thought maybe it hadnt been successful and checked and it hadnt. Tried the next 3 days still the same and ended up missing my payment deadline by 1 day.

    I rang virgin saying your website must have a problem, was convinced I hadnt done anything wrong. The lady was lovely took the payment over the phone, credited the late payment charge and gave me back 0% bal.

    Next month I tried online again, only then did I look at the white screen properly and see that I had to set up a visa secue thingy, put in a password. Once I had done this it came up payment accepted. Is it possible this is whats happening to you?

    I've been Money Tipped!
    I went to make the payment through my current account as the Direct Debit had not been sorted out yet, although paperwork sent etc. It said Visa Debit on my card and on the Virgin website it said Visa Delta was a method of payment, nothing about Visa Debit so I put the transaction through a Visa Electron account. I never ever use this account for paying anything. Probably because it was the first ever transaction on the account, there was an automated random credit check on the account and it didn't go through, although I assumed it had. Wasn't until I checked to see if the payment had gone through that I saw I was going to be late in paying etc. I got half the late payment fee back - £6 and the 0% pulled because I was in breach of my terms and conditions despite it being a blip with the random credit check etc whilst I put the payment through online. Never had the problem before but put it down to it being the first time I'd ever used the Visa Electron account for a payment. There was plenty of time for the payment to go through, I just assumed the payment had gone through but it hadn't. I didn't get anything on my screen about setting up a password etc for Visa etc. Don't know for sure what happened but I'll be hyper vigilant next time.
