Transfer to IceSave ISA

Hi, I recently opened a IceSave ISA and requested a transfer of funds from my NS&I ISA. For a couple of days now my NS&I account has shown a zero balance but the money hasn't yet been credited to my IceSave account. Anyone have an idea how long this takes?

When you say "requested a transfer of funds" you did this via the transfer form, correct? If that's the case, NS&I should have written to you with confirmation that your account has been closed and your funds are in the post by cheque to Icesave. It will take a couple of days by post.
  • I opened up an account with icesave last month, the 3rd to be precise. Got confirmation from icesave dated the 14th that the process of transfers can take up to 30 days(fair enough). 30 days have past and have e-mailed them (wait 5 days for a reply) and still no word.

I am actually losing patience with ICESAVE as this process should of been done and dusted. I am not just losing patience, i am also losing interest. Should i ask for backdated interest (11th april) because its took 30 days longer than expected?

It's not necessarily Icesave's fault. If they have written to tell you that they have contacted your bank to arrange the transfer it could be your other bank that is causing the hold-up, so I'd get in touch with them as well.

Bizarrely I've had a bit of trouble with Icesave and transferring funds into the ISA. NS&I have confirmed they have received the request, and opened a case yesterday. But my other ISA provider, National Counties, (https://www.ncbs.co.uk) hasn't received a letter that was sent over 3 weeks ago. I've found out the reason today - because Icesave sent the request to the wrong address!!! So asked them to resend it today and they are doing so via recorded delivery

I'm having trouble with transferring an old arrangement to a B&B e-isa - I started a thread on it below.

Doing my research, I've found that B&B and Icesave internet operations are managed by the same outsourcer i.e. Newcastle Building Society. So it explains why we're in the same boat.
