Can I get T-Mobile simcard on LG8120 phone?

I have a LG8120 phone on three as my main phone but I also have a t-mobile phone and simcard.

I know the LG phone can contain two lines but does anyone know if I can use the T-mobile simcard as the 2nd line in the LG8120 phone on three?

The LG8120 phone is a third generation phone. 3G phones can only be used with simcards on third generation networks.

"3" was the only 3G network for a while. T-mobile, O2, Vodafone and Orange don't operate a 3G network yet - or if they do, they've only launched it very recently.

Point is, if you've had your T-mobile sim for more than a month or two, or if you specifically bought the LG8120 to get the video functionality that you couldn't get on T-mobile, then - chances are, your T-mobile sim is not a 3G sim, and will not work in the LG8120 - even if you get it unlocked.

Even if you could use both SIMs in the phone, you wouldn't be able to use the two at the same time.

You can use twin SIM adaptors in unlocked GSM phones (of which the LG is certainly not an example) but they work by switching between the two when you turn the phone on and off. You can't have them active at the same time.

As far as I know, the only network that does a line 2 (two numbers at the same time on one phone) is Orange.

The lg8120 is recently unlockable.

Dont think the lg8120 takes a ghoust dual sim as yet
only just been made unlockable.

So think yourself lucky that the tmobile sim works at all.
