if you return to Talk Talk without a referal what will they offer you .
If you where on free evening & weekend calls for a year you have a good case to get the same again . Have you asked Talk Talk yet ?0 -
8. If the Referred Party has had an account with TalkTalk within the last 6 months and has disconnected or cancelled such account, such Referred Party or the Referring Party, may still be eligible for a reward (at TalkTalk's absolute discretion).
You will find as it is such a short time between dropping TalkTalk and going back virtually every time they do not allow you to receive the credit, as people would cancel and rejoin all the time to get the £10 credit.
TalkTalk usually do allow you back on your previous tariff if you were transfered away without your consent. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

Well, today I made 21 calls, 15 of those to Onetel/Telco/whatever they call themselves now. Out of the 15 calls, 4 were cut off by arrogant call centre staff (at Onetel of course) and 10 were useless calls where Onetel transferred me to Onetel (Telco) and they made me listen to music.
I put across the point that I had informed them about the cancellation within the cooling off period but they insisted that it was my fault that I had emailed the wrong Onetel there are two email addresses: customercare@onetel.co.uk and customerservice@onetel.co.uk. I forget which email address belongs to which division of Onetel but apparently I was supposed to know which was which. It transpires that although Onetel have taken over TelcoGlobal, and they both now have the same logo, business address and are both owned by Centrica, this is all irrelevant because I should have know all along that they were actually two separate companies. Of course, it is all clear now, 'Onetel' and 'Onetel' - the difference is so blatantly obvious...
At this point I phoned the ineffective and incompetent regulator OfCOM who said that they can't help me personally but I shouldn't worry because I am "helping the industry by lodging a complaint against Onetel's profile". What good is that to me? They have enough trouble getting to grips and sorting out the scam with non-geographical numbers so this wasn't too much of a surprise to me
Anyway, back to Onetel, I managed to get the point across that I wanted to speak to a Manager... that's when I got cut off again. However, I did eventually manage to speak to a manager who surprisingly agreed with me and referred my case to the MD's Team for review. As for the Onetel Telco account, she said that she would 'see to it and call me tomorrow'. We'll see... I have said that I have no intention to pay the charges on this account as it is they who have not met the terms of the contract. She seemed to agree on this point but didn't confirm anything. I've cancelled the Direct Debit on the bank account so my money stays put!
Also phoned TalkTalk who admitted that it was their fault this happened too, as they didn't send out a letter to say we were leaving. They offered to have us put back on the service but it will take 2 weeks. I phoned BT Options who said that if I register a formal complaint against Onetel, they can transfer me back to my first supplier by 23:59 tonight. I did so and that accelerated transfer is now taking place, I hope!
TalkTalk have offered a rather generous £5 'goodwill gesture' for my hours of phone calls sorting this mess out and I will wait to see what happens in the way of the charges incurred with Onetel and Telco. TalkTalk have also 'lost' my new account number so can't let me know what's happening with it or set my free calls back up again. I'm not sure I really want to stay with them but nobody else is offering free evening weekend calls without having email only contacts for customer service.
In total I have spent around 7 hours listening to music and talking to idiots, and this issue isn't even sorted yet! And my recompense? A possible £5 credit from TalkTalk. Great. Not sure how Bextech managed to get £20 out of thembut did you dropped some sort of hint when talking to them?

You could go back with TalkTalk and after few weeks threaten to leave and go to JustDial for their free evening & weekend calls and they may price-match. According to posts though it appears to be really the retentions team that will offer to price-match, normal customer services don't bother.0 -
CC seems to have got TalkTalk to allow them back on their previous tariff, I take it was the free evening and weekend calls tariff they were on at the time of transfer.
In answer to CC, I just said I was surprised they hadn't let me know that BT was taking over my calls again, and that it has caused me a lot of grief. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
This is a little of subject but BexTech I like your signature. It's so true:-It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine........
Can I have my PAC please?
Can I have my MAC please?
Can I have a new PIN please?
Where is nearest ATM?
Although the last two don't sound that bad though looking at it. lol :rotfl:0 -
I received a call from a member of Onetel's MD Team and in that one phone call, she assured me that I would not be charged for my calls and that I would be transferred back to TalkTalk within 2 weeks.
TalkTalk, however seem to be living on planet cronk and still can't find my new account so unless they can track it down soon, I'll be using them as a stepping stone to Tele2
Thanks for your help, bbb_uk and BexTech.:D:D Much appreciated

Thing is it just doesn't seem to sound right if you ask:
Can I have my PAC please?
Can I have my MAC please?
Can I have a new PIN please?
Where is nearest ATM?
Although the last two don't sound that bad though looking at it. lol :rotfl:
How about "what is shown on the LCD display?"
As you say, PIN and ATM sound ok but the others sound better in their incorrect form.0 -

I'll add that one!
As for MAC, I think this is why the industry calls the number a MAC key. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0
