  • Ok so on Christmas Eve we had a new kingsize tv bed delivered, we put it altogether as per instructions. Once finished we plugs it in ready to use only to find that although the motor was working the tv never came up out of the bed. We found a broken cog wheel laying in the bottom of the bed. Phoned very and told that an engineer would come and inspect. Had to take time off for the engineer to come. Then had a phone call from very to say they had received the engineers report and agreed that it was manufacture fault..........so I thought well that's good, only to then be told that they no longer supplied this bed and were unable to get spares. They said my only option was to look back in the catalogue and order another bed. Looked online only to find the ones they have available are £1000 more than the one we already purchased. So I just got off the phone from a very rude man at Very, I said that I couldn't afford one of the more expensive beds but was prepared to get the part that I need fabricated if they discount the bed down, they said they could offer me a measly £86 of the bed! When I said this wasn't acceptable and that it would cost me more than that to fabricate the part he then made the comment that fitting my own part would invalidate my warranty. When I asked how they could warrant a bed that they can't get parts for anyway he declined to comment!!! He reiterated the fact that I had to choose another bed or return the one I had and get one from somewhere else. When I said would you be dismantling the bed he said no that is my job!!! Cannot believe how cheeky this company are. Anyway all he said I can do it put my complaint in writing to customer excellence .......am I really likely to get anywhere or should I go to trading standards? Some direction of what to do would be really helpful. Thank you.
  • We have been Littlewoods customers for years and have generally found them to be OK, small problems here and their but nothing that didn't get sorted... until yesterday, we had our new washing machine delivered which once plumed in proceeded to spew water from underneath all over the floor, we obviously rang littlewoods, first person on the phone was very rude to quote "Not our problem, ring the manufacturer" and "its not covered by guarantee", less than 2 hours in my house and suddenly a 2 year guarantee is gone??? second person on the phone was almost silent on the phone did not/could not answer any questions to the point we thought they had gone she was completely silent so we rang a 3rd time, this time again we were treated very rudely and made to feel like it was our fault and absolutely nothing to do with them, when I challenged him and told him I would not pay for faulty goods he simply hung up on me. I feel like I've been given the run around, the manufacturer is saying ring littlewoods as its in the 1st 28 days and littlewoods is saying ring the manufacturer. I will never shop with littlewoods again, at the moment I am doing my best to recover from a stroke, I can live without the rudeness of such people.
  • Will never order from littlewoods woods again I've been with them 10 years+ firstly had a 50 inch lg TV which broke down so rang the insurance had the TV collected for repair after waiting 8 weeks without a TV was told it could not be repaired was given money from the insurance to order a new TV so I ordered the 50 inch Panasonic smart TV had to wait another 2 weeks for delivery and was I disappointed TV arrived in a damaged plain (not an original box) opened the box the TV was already assembled took the TV out of the box the find a loose screw in the bottom of the box investigating the TV there were 3 screws missing from the TV they had sent me a second hand faulty TV rang them straight away and they had another one sent to me which was in the original box and not already assembled and because I returned the first TV the insurance took their claim money back without telling me then 2 weeks later found the TV had reduced in price queried this with the adviser who barely understood English he told me to return it and reorder it . Around the same time my mother in law ordered me the saskia leather sofa and I ordered the footstool on my account after 2 weeks the stitching on the sofa came undone so rang them to send the sofa and the footstool back after waiting in for 4 failed collections complained to arrow xl and they finally collected the sofa and footstool then I was getting messages and phone calls for delivery they were trying to deliver the footstool back to me the even brought it back to my door I emailed littlewoods again and the reply was I'm very sorry I will rearrange for it to be delivered to you again for god sake I don't want it so because arrow xl had the footstool the amount was not being put back on my account then I had trouble littlewoods gave me the wrong insurance on my account so they thought they help their selves without telling adding insurance on my account then refunding it 30 hours later. Littlewoods do not have good customer service that's all they have given me is stress I have emailed:A complaints only to be passed back and fourth with their !!!!!!!! instead of having good customer services skills and resolving the issue I don't care any more I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM YOU AGAIN
  • 11 weeks since i reported a faulty phone.

37 emails 46 phone calls later i have no idea if i will ever see

the phone again or get a refund.......they coolected the phone in week 6

just spent 35 minutes on hold to a repair centre & Littelwoods to be cut off at 7.55pm ( coincidence they shut at 8pm)

    PLEASE PLEASE

    DO NOT BUY FROM

    LITTLEWOODS
  • i order a mirror from this company on the 5th december them sent me the wrong one idid ring to arrange for it to be collected did they turn up No then arraanged another day still did not turn up this has been going on for 7 days now sick of being fobbed off by customer services il never order from the comapny again that for sure
  • I placed a large order for Christmas presents, which all arrived, no problem. On 18th Dec I rang up to pay off the account in full, £313.00! At that point I was told that the Direct Debit would be reset to 0 (and the £93.01 minimum payment would not be collected). On 5th January, the DD was taken out of my account, for £93.01!!! Furious doesn't even come close.

I have called Littlewoods every day since to get my money back, but it's like plaiting fog, I'm getting nowhere!

I have spoken to 3 different departments, hardly any of which actually understand what I'm saying, and then fob me off to another department!

I have today (12/01/14) been told that I'll (hopefully) get a cheque in the post for the refund! ... Let's not hold our breath eh?

I will be writing to Mr Baldwin (providing he still works there), and will also be reporting Litttlewoods to the Financial Ombudsman.

    I'll keep you posted!
