It's heartstopping to spend all that money - however, I tend to agree with most . Buy second hand if you can. People still often advertise in the papers. I bought a 10 year old explorer frame (now 16+ years old) and it's going strong. Just replace the plastic covers over each bolt for a few pounds and bought a new platform for £25 and it's as new:money: . Also found a TP slide in the papers free to first person to collect. I spray painted the slide frame and again,:money: it looked good as as new - only in a lovely sunny yellow as my son asked. It was over 20 years old when I picked it up, so now 25+ years old. still as strong as ever. I have 4 crazy kids and their mad friends who jump wildly over these toys. Tp toys are so robust it's untrue. They are sturdy and clearly designed with safety in mind. I have a 10, 8 5 and a 4 year old - they don't play with the toys that much over the year, but when they do suddenly they start an obstacle course race or play spies and need the equipment for cool stunt action! Now with the summer coming in - they pour a jug of water down the slide an swoosh down at a screaming rate of knots - it so much fun. The metal keeps well and hasnt rusted and the plastic is all weather proof (some plastic toys fade/rot quickly when left out through the summer and last just for the year) I couldn't give them away just yet and the owners for us kept theirs long after their children had 'grown up'!!! My in-laws have a tp swing seat they bought for my husband over 30 years ago to use for a rope swing and my children are able to play safely on it. I'm surprised at arthur dents) lack of enthusiasm and imagination.

I'd recommend the TP galvanised range-bit cheaper and less bulky than the wooden stuff.
We started off with a Hedstrom set, which lasted 6 years before becoming dangerous through rust. We replaced it a couple of years ago with TP-wish we'd bought it from the start

TP's range are about the best value for money, they are very reasonably priced for the quality. I would invest more in a good trampoline however, as the interest in that seems to continue into their teens. Super Tramp are probably the market leaders here, mine is very nicely built but again the TP ones are good value.
Self employed and loving it :D

  • We have 3 little people who couldn't all play on the little tikes frame that we had (and tbh wasn't very challenging for the older 2) Where we are in the winter we get hammered by the elements (70mph+ winds :rotfl: ) I took the swings off and the slide extension and it only moved around 6" - which was good compared to the other frame the year before! Excellent quality and easy to construct (in the words of my DH!)

Last summer we invested in a TP frame (dividing the price by 3 lol!) I did loads of reserch 1. to make sure it would fit and 2. to see where I could get the best cashback from. At the time we went for John Lewis.

I had a *doh* moment this year when I was looking for a trampoline - It was the most expensive to buy from elc however I found this code http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=10430283#post10430283. I have ordered, quidco tracked fine. Not delivered yet but only ordered over the weekend!!!
