Does anyone know where you can find out or when the next free listing day will be on ebay please. I have looked on ebay but cannot see anything. I have a load of cds I want to shift but dont want to pay there rediculous listing fees.
Many thanks
CD & DVD categories are not normally included in the cheap listing day promotions as the insertion fees are miniscule to start with. It's not the listing fees that are the issue - It's only 5p at 99p start, or 10p if it's £1 or over.
It's 9% Final Value Fee and paypal charges that cost, and they are the same whether it's listed on a cheap day or not.
Amazon is no better, and possibly even more expensive at this price point. Individuals selling at Marketplace pay a GBP 0.86 per item completion fee, plus a closing fee of 17.25% of the sales price (11.5% for Electronics & Photo items) for each item sold.
The amazon postage rate is fixed for buyers, which although you will get a small credit for, CD's will sell with £1.50 P&P all day long on eBay with no complaints and decent star ratings, allowing you to cover all your costs, whilst not being seen to postal gouge.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
Many thanks for the info.0

As it turns out, the number of listings was pretty much the same as any other promotional day, as the strike had very little effect.
One of the man stalwarts of the Strike in the USA was caught moving their sales to another ID during the strike - which made a complete mockery of the whole plan!
I would take part in a strike but we all know that as a small seller eBay don't care about me - and I'm trying to save up for a car and eBay is my only source of income as a full-time Student.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -
