Very wired and can not sleep so have been putting together some stuff for ebay(how will I cope at 7 when son wakes? lol). Was thinking of listing on a ten day Thurs pm as then will end on Sunpm and will get 2 weekends coverage.
However alot of the items are small value ie Baby Next clothes and toys etc, so was wondering if we were expecting a free listing or gallery pic day(s) soonish and when this may be.
Only got a small place and if I box it all up now, it means having it jammin the place up for atleast ten days as it is!
Thanks in advance
(nice and sleepy now lol)

These days do come about as you probably know by now but I'm not sure how often.
You can either throw it all on now and make money from what you dont want anyway, or just put it all on turbo lister and wait for that special day.
Hope this helps. Cheers:oCurrent Debt £38,000:o

Hello,
Not sure if this is going to help. When they do the free or cheap listing day I have seen threads on here that things don't sell for much or they don't sell at all. I think thats because people put a lot of rubbish on, would you not make more by listing this now. You would also not have to store it for so long. HTH.
NickyThanks for any help and advice given

ive heard rumours that ebay might be dropping the gallery fee (0.15p) on a permanent basis?0

Given that insertion fees are now so low, cheap listing days will be changing in the future. We've already seen free gallery, and free insertions for 99p auctions, but in the longer term, it has been said by ebay that they could get rid of insertion fees altogether!

It's worth bearing in mind that there is a "Seller Strike" planned for May 1st, and despite the last strike being a damp squib, eBay did offer a cheap listing day at the beginning of it to bolster figures. As it turns out, the number of listings was pretty much the same as any other promotional day, as the strike had very little effect.
One of the man stalwarts of the Strike in the USA was caught moving their sales to another ID during the strike - which made a complete mockery of the whole plan!<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

There was also th eproblem that in the last strike listings in some categories actually increased on a like by like basis, so there was a suspicion that more than one big seller took huge advantage of the strike to list more than usual.
I actually held out for a few days (during the week long strike) saw one of my competitors listing exactly the stock that I was, but at almost twice the price, so I confess I did list and undercut him and did quite well.
Serioulsy Steve is quite right and as ebay declare their listings on a 30 day basis any major downturn in numbers of listings during the strike will probably mean a cheap day of some sort with in the same 30 day period to get the listing numbers up to the usual numbers.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thank you! Well, I think it will be worth me holding out 7 days for the bits I have, they are not in the 'junk' category or I would have popped them in the charity bag, but it just seems in the last year I've done just over 1000 items of my son's and other bits and bobs and they do not sell for half the price they did this time last year, so was trying to make fees cheap as poss as I charge properly for p&p etc. It just seems with anything under £5...say a 99p start and finish, it is not worth the time listing/answering questions/packing/dragging to post office etc after ebay and paypal take their chunk!
Thank you again!

My money's on Thursday May 1st too!0

If I had to lay money I would go for the week later the 8th as that way they wouldn't look so obviously worried about the strike but can still influence the 30 day listing totals.
However, I have been wrong on every single occasion I have tried to guess in the past.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
