I've sent the text as above, and they replied to say a voucher is on the way. i copied the e-mail to a work colleague, he did the same and got the same reply.
there may or may not be a catch which we'll find out when the voucher comes but as the offer expires on 25 april i have posted this message now.

    I just got that as well, cant guarantee it will work but worth a try, seems to only have charged me 3p as well.
  • where's the voucher sent to? Maybe you have to be registered and it's send in the post :confused:

    Seems to be the case, i.e. only works if you're registered. Googled and found a discussion on hotukdeals where that conclusion was reached.

    If you're registered they can post or email you the voucher. We'll have to wait and see how it works, e.g. all 1000 to be used in a month or spread over 4 months (250 a month) like the present deal when you buy a phone over £50.

    Was just about to jump ship to o2 because of text volumes so they could just have bought my loyalty for a few more months at least!
