Right, not something I use. Never thought there was much difference between Visa and Mastercard, never given it any thought.0 -
Why? What's the difference between Egg money Visa and Egg Money Mastercard?
I spend quite a lot of time abroad. Some countries hardly use Mastercard, others hardly use Visa so I like to have both. I'd prefer to have both of them egg money cards for cashback reasons.
Don't really use gambling sites except sometimes to take advantage of the offers on cashback sites after which I close the accounts. You do need Visa for that because you can't withdraw money back to your Mastercard. That's not the reason I want it though...
In theory it is possible to have both egg money Visa and mastercards though? I'd just never heard of their Visa version before...Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -

Yes, Egg Blue was always Mastercard.

There are some Visa cards out there that have the same benefits as Egg Money (1% cash back etc).
It's only a very small number though. Did they originally have a Boots credit card?
Egg provided the credit card on behalf of Boots, it then became Egg Blue then Egg Money.
Most customers were transferred over to Mastercard but there are still some who have Visa. However, its no longer possible to get Egg Money as a Visa card.
To beinerts, you'd be better off with a card that doesn't charge a foreign currency commission.
The foreign commission charges for Egg are as follows:
Egg Card (Visa) - 2.75%
Egg Money (99.9% Mastercard) - 2.65%0 -
Thanks DFTN, I'll bear that in mind. I usually get cash out using my bank card, or get cash before I go (depending on which works out cheaper). I do use the cards if I end up buying stuff I hadn't planned to though.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0
