So why did you poo poo my experiences? I dont understand why Im not allowed to share my views but you are.

So you would never find hard facts (aka reviews) to back up anything you say or post

I certainly didn't "poo poo" [sic] your opinions, unfortunately it's exactly what you do, or come across as doing - I could cite all manner of threads, esp in the Tech forum with similar examples.

Reading and listening, and respecting, other peoples experiences and opinions is what this forum is about.

Perhaps we are all guilty of reading inflection into posts that aren't really there, that's the problem.

In fact my last line was to the effect "you like one, I like another". Earlier I posted about the importance of choice.

There are many independent reviews, if it was something scientific I'd be happy to quote a research paper, but reviews on products are subjective. Anyone can Google and find links to support their cause, be in inaccurate Wiki entries or love and hate sites for a particular brand, company or product. There is nothing sophisticated about that, anyone can use search engines...

    Dyson reviews:

and a massive set of hundreds of reviews:

    etc, etc.

I have to say each to there own by Dysons are fine hoovers, just fine, but IMHO Dyson has to be one of the most over-rated products since Apple. I have had a Dyson, a Bosch and a Miele and Im sorry but i dont think the dyson can carry a torch to these hoovers. Miele in particular are an example of a product being worth the money. The build quality is amazing.

I've got a dyson DC01 which we bought in 1998 and is still in daily use. We had to have a new cable a couple of years ago when it burnt out where it wiggles about on the hoover. DH wanted to throw it but I got it fixed for £20 getting a longer cable in the process. The guy who fixed it said the DC01 was one of the best models along with the DC04. My dad has a henry which I also like so when the dyson no longer works perhaps in another 10 years, I'll think about a henry.
