NS&I to A&L transfer query

Hi all,

I have around £6000 to transfer from NS&I. I want to put it into A&L. I have printed the form, but am unsure what to tick in the first section...do I need to tick:

1. Open a Direct ISA
or
2. Transfer existing cash ISA funds to a Cash ISA I have already opened.

I do not have an A&L current account nor do I have a A&L cash ISA.

Do I need to open a Direct ISA before transferring anything?

Which do I tick?

Thank you!!

You need to open the ISA and then send off the transfer form, choosing 2 - Transfer existing cash ISA funds.
