Meeting new people with little or no money - Is it possible??

I'm single, 40 last week, and work from home as a courier.:D

I have four children from two long-term partners. They're 16,12 and twins of 7

I live alone in a 3bed house in Bristol.

I am 4/14th of the way qualified to being an accountant (That is passed 4 of the 14 exams) Taking 3 more in 3 weeks, so I should be revising to be fair!
I suppose I have my degree which got me this job in the first place, that is Business Finance. Think economics and you're halfway there!
I have had the job for just over 2 years.

Another newbie ish and just stumbled accross this thread (still to read it all)..

40 & single, living alone & finding it difficult to meet people in the conventional way due to lack of funds, social scene etc..

i got a dog!!he is a springer spaniel and is completly nuts!!!
chip hazard- do your kids see you much? 7 year old twins sounds like fun hehe do they live near by?

Hi Maverick- it takes a while to read it all!
The lack of funds is a serious issue- pretty much every way of meeting people seems to cost money apart from the plentyoffish web site.
What have you tried? Any recommendations?

i have a dog and can't have cats till he is gone. he is only 2 years so i got about 12 years before i get cats, what age/subject do you teach?
chip hazard, do your kids live near you? do you see them alot? my little un is 6 years old 7 year okd twins sound like great fun!!!!

Yes they're great fun and really good company. They live about 4/5 miles away and I see them every Wednesday from 3.15pm - 8pm and from Friday 3.15pm - Sunday evening....:j
