After having suspended the marketing of our property last year (in December) we are now back on the market - with great timing!!! We received offers last year, but were not in a position to move anywhere so had to pass them up. Of course now we have seen a couple of properties we like or would now willingly rent a property sod's law - we've had no viewings.

We've just signed up with a national estate agency, much to my chagrin, but we live in hope that the budget agency will come through for us. Unfortunately they seem to be restricted to a few websites and cannot seem to afford adverts in the paper.
Anybody fancy a fab semi in the New Forest, please do let me know!
Thanks in advance

I think you should be prepared for a long wait to sell it with the market as it now and you'll probably have to come down a significant amount on the price too.
Re the link - the house looks nice enough and so do the rooms although imho the turquoise painted window wall in the kitchen is horrendous and that flooring is so tacky and 80s now that it might put some buyers off. I think you'd improve your chances of a sale by painted that wall a neutral colour and changing the floor tiles to something more modern - shouldn't cost you more than £100 or so.
2p..

Definitely get rid of that blue paint in the kitchen. It's awful!
No offence."I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"
For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!0 -

How big are the detached ones? I always check here and reference to the market at the time.0 -

No I'm kidding, I like it.
No pictures of the bedrooms though?

I thought the floor, tiles and walls were ok but only two of them should be so prominent - a plain floor, lighter tiles or less turquoise......southernscouser wrote: »Got to agree! I think you'd be better with white! :undecided
It looks well kept but I think a lot of people would want to decorate, yellow is quite personal. The flooring in the lounge looks a bit shiny I think I'd prefer carpet or a bigger rug but in general it looks a well looked after, clean family home with reasonable rooms. It would do us but I'd want a good price - I wouldn't pay a premium for the decor as it's not me so I'd just go on comparables for the area. It's never going to be someones 'dream' home (as in the thatched cotage sense) so I'd just go on the numbers - don't know what they are for the area but priced sensibly any house will sell.0 -

I definitely agree with Rob.

I'd like to see the conservatory! But it looks good and the garden is fab. Personally, I've nothing against the turquoise and yellow as I am sooo bored of looking at shades-of-beige houses that it's a refreshing change...0

I also agree with the guys about the blue in the kitchen. I don't dislike the colour itself but with the maple units silver/grey tops and black tiles its just too out-there for my tastes. It also makes me think that the kitchen has needed 'done' so you have slapped up the cheapest paint you could find while not being fussy about the colour. sorry.
Overall nice familly home probably suited to a 2 adult one child family as the 3rd bedroom is a little small in my opinion for a bedroom and would be better suited as a playroom.
I cannot comment on the price i'm afraid. I'm in Scotland and the same looking home and layout are selling for 125k
One think i would say about price is alot of people are struggling to get a mortgage with an LTV of higher than 75% What do you realistically hope to get for the house and do you think your target market would have the 25% deposit?? a 200k house would need a 50k deposit so even presuming you would settle for 20% less than OO do you think the buyers in your area have 50k??MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000
