Nokia is now asking for PUK code

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me, I have a Nokia 3410 that is now asking for a PUK code, I've looked around and connot find any info on PUK codes.

you need to speak to your network about your PUK code

O2 has an online request on their website help section

am I correct in thinking the PUK code is required to unlock a SIM?

Should I be able to change SIM and GO?

Can i still unlock it without PUK if i change SIM?

Yes, the PUK code relates to the sim, you can either get the PUK from the network that issued the sim card, or replace the sim card with one that hasn't been locked, (PUK code will only be asked for after 3 wrong attempts on the PIN code).
