blimey, am i the only person that quite likes seagulls? we moved from london to the coast a couple of years back and one of the reasons is that i love that seagull sound, waking up in the morning to that is nice

the dog gets a bit irate with them though and barks at them if they swoop over the garden!

I like them too and ds adores them! We get a lot around here as we're near the sea and it's nice listening to them.

We go on holiday to Haven every year and ds always makes me buy extra bread to feed them!! Suppose it keeps them away from the bins for a bit lol
If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?

if you are suffering from noise, attacks, droppings etc then fire a small firework in your garden (not between 11pm to 7am) ...a rocket preferably...not at the gulls and they will go away and in addition if they nest nearby....get a fibre glass flagpole...10-15 metres and wave in the air and that will encourage them to leave an adjacent area.....however if they have nested then you could be breaking the law so its important that you do this before the nesting season which is mid-late may.

any other humane methods please make your recommendations

have to agree , these things are flying rats . there s three neighbours across the road from me that feed the things three times a day .
i own a new car and the new water based paint s are not as resilent as the older now banned two pack paints.
im really getting sick of it. my car is in the flight path . tey gain height after feeding over my house where the car is in the drive.
i have complained peacefully to them as they are all elderly but it s fallen on deaf ears . what else can i do. some days the car and our front window are just splattered with gull crap. i have fixed the chimney so that they can no longer nest there . bloody inconsiderate to say the least
    ok rant over

Can't believe you joined a money saving site just to resurrect an old thread in order to rant about seagulls!
