Wanadoo Wireless & Talk

I'm using Wanadoo Wireless & Talk for internet access and phone calls. It is fine as long as your computer is in the same room as the router. Beyond that the signal is too weak. Wanadoo say it should cover a normal house and have provided a rplacement router without making any difference.
Has anyone managed to use Wireless & Talk beyond one room?
