Does your son know how to read a gas meter? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
-
yes he has a masters in engineering
they are saying that as the meter is new they are taking the estimated reading as going all round the clock0 -
Have they changed his meter, or have they been overestimating for a while?
As the 3rd Dec estimate and the actual read on 29th Dec don't appear to tally, then I think your son would be better off writing rather than 'phoning.
Also, as the amount due is high  and the bill is up to 8th Feb, they will start to pursue him rather quickly.....good luck
sorry cross posted.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Well if a new meter has been fitted, it will read cubic metres and the 2.83 multiplier is not required. So much for his masters in engineering! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

thanks for the sarcastic comments.0 -
Why was it necessary to mention that he has a masters in engineering then?
Don't shoot the messenger, who gave useful information!

I do apologise but i saw this thread and jokes about the third reich came to mind.:o I think there has definently been an error somewhere unless my wife and the whole neighbourhood have been tapping into your son's gas supply.
Or another idea has richard branson decided to resume his round the world hot air ballon challenge and your son's his best mate. Remember its better to laugh than cry.0 -

I'm not being rude but this made me smile.
I know some very highly educated people but they don't have an ounce of common sense. Not saying your son has no common sense but you highlighted it in bold as if to say to espresso "Of course he can read a meter, he has a masters in engineering you know":heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Prehaps he has a gas leak???:D0
