Moving from TT - best provider for phone & broadband (& poss TV)?

I've just got to the end of an 18 month contract with Talk Talk, where I have broadband & phone (includes line rental and free weekend/evening calls) which costs me £19.99 a month. Having had awful service from TT, including many times where I can't log onto my BB service, I want to change but I have no idea who to change to and just don't know where to start looking.
Obviously at the mo I don't have a BT line so need line rental, phone and broadband. I would consider tv as part of the package if I could get a good deal, but with Sky and Virgin it seems you need BT line rental which would add to the overall cost. It's so confusing!
Any advice or recommendations?
Thanks,
CC x

I am also looking for broadband. Unfortunately I have an inactive phone line at home (BT want £124.99 to reconnect) so I was looking for a fairly cheap 12 month solution for:
Broadband - any speed, any usage (light user, I only get 3meg in my area)
Landline - anytime calls to UK landlines
Line rental
I was looking at Tiscali (£19.99/mth for all of the above) but the initial cost is compounded by the fact that they only take active BT customers, as a result of which I'd have to sign up to BT then pay £70 to cancel it.
If anyone can find me a package for around £25/mth that avoids the £70 BT charge, it would be much appreciated. I am not in a cable BB or 3G area, and a lot of the websites require a phone number to access their price plans. It's all so confusing0 -
You can get half price installation now from BT (£62.50), providing you agree to stay 18 months.
So you could get (say) o2 @ £12.50 (£7.50 if you are an o2 customer) plus £10.50/month line rental. Or any other deal you want that uses a BT line.0
