Motorola V547 Mobile
Just about to upgrade to this phone but a little confused about Bluetooth having never used it before. The lady in the 02 shop was very helpful but blinded me with science. She said that to download pictures to my computer I would have to buy the Bluetooth "Dongle". Is there any software provided or is it as easy as she said i.e. just connect the "dongle" to a USB port and away you go, or can you transfer via usb lead. I'm a bit confused.

I bought my USB bluetooth device for £12.99 from PCWorld, it comes with its own software, which I found easy to set up.
I also have Moto V547, and use the bluetooth thingy to connect to the internet using my mobile (using a 0845 connect number on inclusive mins), you can also tranfer photo's and ringtones to the phone via bluetooth.0 -
AFAIK You just plug the dongle into a spare USB port on your PC and install any necessary software off a CD. Enable Bluetooth on the phone and it should find the PC.
You can pick up a Dongle and CD with loads of ringtones, wallpapers etc off eBay delivered for under a tenner (watch the postage costs though)0 -
With most usb you install the software first and when prompted to plug in do so, if using the belkin one from pc world once you have installed everything to work i find it easier to go back into device manager and update the driver to the belkin driver as with xp it chooses microsofts signed driver but the belkin one is unsigned and wont have the green tick, doing it this was i find is easier, once installed just go into bluetooth places and take it from there.
You can buy a data cable for this phone but remembering my v600 when transfering games i had to go in and edit the java settings before using midway but bluetooth is the earier option and once sussed you wont go back;)The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0
