    It depends...

Does he want a phone too? How many minutes per month does he need? Would he be happy with a cashback deal (and its associated risks)?

He`s Quite Happy With The Phone He`s Got. No, He`d Not Want The Cashback Deals. He`d Like A DEAL Of Around £25 Per Month.

I don't think I have seen a tariff without text messages for a long time, if at all. What's the harm in having the texts and not using them?

If that isn't an option, PAYG is just about the only one.

edit: Orange Racoon 30 might prove to be the compromise you're after, if he doesn't mind being tied to a 24 month contract with a network I'm loathed to recommend. 700 anytime minutes, unlimited landline calls and only 100 texts for £25 a month if you signup online.

there`s Nothing Wrong In Having Free Texts & Not Using Them. It`s Just That He Was Wondering If Any Of The Companies Did All Talk Tariff With Free Minutes. I`ve Been On The Phone To My Provider & They`re Going To See If They Can Work Out A Tariff That Would Suit Him. Thanks Everyone. Bjb
