Transfer number from PAYGO to Monthly

I currently using O2 'pay as you go' and planning to move to 'Contract'. I want to keep my number.
I want to know the procedure on how I can keep my 'pay as you go' number in the new monthly contract as well? Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

  • correct me if im worng but i dont think you can transfer from payg to contract if your on the same network..

e.g. you can transfer a number from o2PAYG to orange contract but not o2PAYG to o2 contract, you will have to port you o2 PAYG to another PAYG network and then port that number to o2 contract

You should be able to do it... I know my sister just transferred from Contract to PAYG and kept the number, so I imagine the reverse should be possible. Phone O2 customer support and ask them about it.
  • yes its possible possible.
If you want an o2 contract then phone customer services and ask them about it.
IF you want to go to another network then phone o2 and ask for your PAC code. Give that to the new network and your number will be transferred over

The o2 sales line is 2424 - ring if from your mobile and explain you want to keep the number - you probably won't even have to change the sim.
  • grrr so it works on o2, last yr when i tried to do this with orange it didnt
