Fixed Rate ISAs were quoted as: Derbyshire's 2 yr = 5.4% and Halifax's 4 or 5 yr = 5.7%. If you follow these links you'll find that the Halifax have a 4 yr Fixed at 4.45% (which, having been into a branch has been unchanged since 16 August 2005). The Derbyshire 2 yr Fixed currently pays 4.5%.
I'd love to know where Martin got his figures.
I do not seem to be able to find anything better to transfer my First Direct ISA (the 6.25% until 6/10/05 deal) than the Halifax at 5%. Any better suggestions would be welcomed.Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0
