    Wilkos paint is good - and it's very reasonably priced too.

    Agreed. We only chose it as it was my favourite colour of all the testposts (I spent more on testpots than actual paint)

    We used Wickes cheapo on the hall stairs landing and bedroom and no complaints there either. I think unless your walls are crappy or you're painting over a much darker colour, all this 'you get what you pay for with paint' is nonsense.

    I once tried Aldi cheap gloss, the worst paint I have ever used.

    It looked more like varnish with a hint of white no kidding you put it on some wood and you could see the bare wood through even the thickest of coats

    I think its best going for good paint mind you B&Q own coloured emulsion isnt bad but give me Dulux any day

    I also dont like that water based gloss breatheasy by Crown thats doesnt go down well although it does dry quickly
