ISA Transfer Is A Lottery

I think it's high time a national newspaper took this up and started a campaign about it. After all you can close any other accounts and move your money on the same day. Why should a cash ISA be any different just to retain its tax free status. Perhaps Martin could take this up on our behalf. I've even seen the topic covered on Working Lunch yesterday:money:0

The problem is that HMRC take a hard line on companies that don't do things 100% correctly. Banks could quite easily allow all their branches to accept transfers in, but it's far easier for the compliance department if they only have to monitor one processing office rather than 100s+ branches.Hugeass304 wrote: »Isn't it time that we could withdraw our ISA savings in the form of a cheque that has ISA money plastered all over it. We could then deposit this ISA money, still in its ISA wrapper into another ISA with another institution on the same day.0
