Sansung j700 from tesco. Is it possible to use a sim from another network?
i am thinking of getting my daughter the j700 from tesco for £53.97.This is much cheaper than most other shops. However i feel there are better deals on other networks for actual calls and text...ie If i topup £10 on o2 i can get an extra 300 texts. is it easy to put another sim in from another netwoek?i am sure i have read that tesco are paert of the o2 network so i was hoping i might be able to put a new o2 sim in it.
any advice appreciated.

I believe that a Tesco SIM will work in a locked O2 handset but not an O2 SIM in a locked Tesco handset. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

I think it only works the other way around with these virtual networks so you could use a Tesco SIM in a O2 phone but not the other way around. Thats certainly how it works with Virgin and T-Mobile.0

thankyou for your replies.Does this mean then that i have to get the phone unlocked? Is this possible?is this easy?

Top up by £15 and Tesco will give you 500 texts.

Once you have spent £30 they will get you the unlocking code free, and give you some free texts or calls on top of the 500 for 3 months.
Port an existing number and their give you £5 credit.
