Text messaging
I currently have a mobile phone which is supplied by my employer. It's a small company and the general rule is to use it for a few private texts and a few private calls but don't take the mickey.
As I rarely used a mobile except for the odd emergency call and about 20 texts a month, this was fine for me and is the only mobile I have, however, my love life seems to have taken off lately
and I've found I'm texting a LOT. I've been using 18185 but the cost increased from 1p to 6p, then I tried 1899 and their costs have increased from 1p to 4p.
So, I'm now thinking about getting myself my own private mobile if I can't find a way to text cheaply - I'll need at least 300 texts per month at the rate I'm going. I have got my old work phone which I'm sure I could unblock and just get a sim for. I would rather avoid T mobile and Virgin because the T mobile signal in my house is awful.
To be honest, though, I would rather just keep the one phone (especially as I really like the phone) and find a way to text which isn't going to be billed to my boss.
Any suggestions?

o2 online text anytime pay as you go would give you 300 texts for £10/month, or 500texts for £15/month, as well as the credit which you could use for calls or more text.
If shes on o2, you could get unlimited texts to her for £10/month.
Orange do a similar topup offer, think its 300 texts for £10/month or 600 for £20/month.0 -
who says it's a she?

Well, I intend to get a sim for my old phone but can't seem to find any unlock codes for a samsung D600E. Do I really have to pay to get this unlocked?0

Yes there are no free codes for the D600E, you can buy an unlocking clip for £6 including P+P, very simple to use, then after it is unlocked re-sell the clip for the money you paid for it so it wont cost you a penny.
Clip is here
