O2 price on renewal £10

Sorry if this has been done before but this is the first time i have ever posted on a forum. Here goes. When you come to renew your O2 contract, tell them that you are going to another provider. They seemed to particularly get riled up when I mentioned vodafone and 3. I was on a £20 contract with something like 500 minutes any network and no texts. They offered me the phone that I wanted (in my case the samsung g600) 400 minutes any network anytime, 200 texts, free O2 to any other O2 phone anytime, all for £10 a month. Admitedly i'm now on an 18 month contract, but I can live with that for that price. A couple of months after my wifes O2 contract came to an end, I phoned up and said I wanted the same deal for her, so they did the same. Bargain!:rotfl:

Yeah, they've maybe improved, last year I got them to give me a new nokia + £30 contract for £15 per month. I actually hoped to decrease it more but they wouldn't have it!

Since my phone is still fine, i've changed to sim only at £10 per month no minimum contract & i'm planning in a few months to try and get a phone out of them - hopefully keeping contract to £10! We'll see!!!

I doubt they'll give you a phone on sim only without taking out a new contract, and if they kept it at £10 they might lower what you get.
