Hi,
Thought I'd tell my story about my (and my partners) problem with 3 and how they sorted it.
long story short - been with them for nearly 4 years and moved house 4 months into a new 18 month contract. New house gave NO RECEPTION whatsoever, had to drive a mile away to receive texts, make calls etc etc.
After HOURS and HOURS of frustrating calls (I'm not even gonna go into it as it gives me headaches just thinking about it!) onto many many different people in the 3 call centre, I wrote to their head office in Glasgow, explained the non-signal issue and my hours of conversations with various call centre staff and their refusal to end my contract based on their inability to supply me a service at my new address. I gave them 2 weeks to reply to me. 5 days later my partner and I received calls from their MDs office saying they would call back within 5 days with a final resolution.
Sure enough, they called back, apologised for all our hours on the phone, and ended both our contracts for free. We had purchased the mobiles as they were new models and they also refunded this money back to us in full. All we had to do was send back the phones in prepaid envelopes that she sent out to us.
So all in all, don't waste your time with the call centres and never ending 'try this', 'try that' blah blah blah, it's not worth it. Go right to the top, state your problem and you will get it sorted. The woman from the MDs office told me that the call centre staff in India do not have any power to make refunds or end contracts so don't waste your time with them :-)
