Compost bin for small garden

I'm definately going to have a look round freecycle.I think gardening is all about sharing . My holly tree is now living at my friends house, I've had so many cutting from my MIL too.

I did some strawberries in a planter a few years back, they didn't do very well at all , I soon discovered the reason why when I came to throw them (Quite a drastic measure for me, I do try to save as much as I can ) The soil was teaming with maggots , put me right off , I've not grown them since.

I also have a small garden and have bought a compost bin that composts kitchen as well as garden waste including cooked food, meat and fish scraps. My tiny lawn of grass clippings goes in as well as weeds and green clippings. It looks neat and tidy so doesn't clutter up the place. I only got it recently, but so far I am really pleased with it. That looks great but :eek: at the cost. I think I'll stick with the £15 bin from the council
